PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear for suppressing the rapid variation of a vehicle behavior and course deviation and improving maneuverability, when the input of an azimuth indicating angle goes away abruptly (when it becomes zero). SOLUTION: The steering gear comprises an operation element 11 and a steered wheel 21 mechanically separated from each other, a driving means 19 for turning the steered wheel 21, detecting means 16, 17, 18 and 20 each for detecting a behavior degree of a vehicle, and a control means 22 for controlling the operation of the driving means 19 so as to match the steering angle of the operation element 11 with the advancing azimuth angle of the vehicle. The steering gear comprises a steering angle correcting means 40 for correcting a steering angle signal supplied to the driving means 19 in response to signals related to the behavior degree outputted from the detecting means 16, 17, 18 and 20.
