PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel and a method therefor are provided to minimize the data noise insertion and the electromagnetic disturbance noise generated during the transmission of the data. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel includes at least two data integrated circuits, a data alignment unit, a data encoding unit and a decoding unit. The data integrated circuits are connected to a plurality of data lines installed in the panel. The data alignment unit aligns the supplied data with corresponding to the sub-fields. The data encoding unit receives the data aligned from the data alignment unit and encodes the received data. And, the decoding unit decodes the data encoded at the data encoding unit and supplies the decoded data to the data integrated circuit. |
