PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure alarm device capable of issuing an alarm earlier when traveling on an expressway than when traveling on an ordinary road. SOLUTION: This device is provided with air pressure sensors 1a to 1d mounted on each of tires in order to detect a tire air pressure and transmit detected air pressure data; a receiver 2 for receiving the air pressure data transmitted from the air pressure sensors 1a to 1d; an alarm part 3d for issuing an alarm signal when the air pressure is lower than a predetermined threshold based on the air pressure data received by the receiver 2; a traveling road determination part 3a for determining whether the vehicle travels on the expressway or the ordinary road; and a threshold setting part 3b for setting the threshold to be a first threshold Th1 when it is determined that the vehicle travels on the ordinary road, and setting the threshold to be a second threshold Th2 (Th2>Th1) when it is determined that the vehicle travels on the expressway.
