PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device in which layout adjustment becomes possible while maintaining desired functions even when an arranging space is limited by miniaturization and which has a waste liquid channel capable of surely guiding a waste ink to a waste liquid tank even when changing the arrangement of the waste liquid tank. SOLUTION: The waste liquid tank 60 connected to a discharging property maintaining unit 80 is arranged in the home position side of a carriage 13 in a printer 1, and a waste liquid tank 70 connected with a guide sheet 57 as an ink guide member is arranged under the vicinity of the end portion opposite to the home position of a platen 50.
