PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document carrier in which a size can be reduced by shortening the length of a document carrying passage and documents can be mounted mixedly. SOLUTION: The document carrier 1 comprising a document supply tray 2 equipped with a means 3 for feeding stacked documents D, and a means 29 for reading the image of a document D while carrying it along a document carrying passage 5 is further provided with a means 33a for setting a mixed mounting mode of document, a means 33b capable of inputting the size information of each document D mounted on the document supply tray 2, and a means 30a for storing the size information thus inputted.
