PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device realizing miniaturization and power saving while securing fixing property and the peeling property of a recording medium, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device 10 is provided with a cylindrical heating roller 11 composed of heat conductive material, an endless belt 41 arranged on the outer circumference of the roller 11 and made longer than the outer circumference of the roller 11, a tension roller 31 which is arranged on a downstream side in the transporting direction of the recording medium with reference to the roller 11 and across which the endless belt is laid, and a pressure roller 21 press-contacting with the roller 11 through the belt 41 and forming a nip part with the belt 41 in between.
