PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment method by which harmful substances, e.g. harmful metals or dioxins, in a waste can be made harmless surely with a high efficiency. SOLUTION: In the waste treatment method, a waste is subjected to a mechanochemical treatment at 100°C or lower in the presence of a non-phosphoric-acid-based or non-aluminum-based reducing substance.
