PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interchangeable mounting type battery box for a primary battery and a secondary battery which can simply interchange and mount a primary battery and a secondary battery without requiring separately a dedicated component and which has a small and simple structure, with excellent adaptability. SOLUTION: When switching of housing and mounting from the primary battery to the secondary battery is made in this battery box, the local point of the other peripheral wall opposed to a fixed terminal member 3 (attached to one peripheral wall of the case 1) is pushed down to the arrow mark direction, and a movable terminal member 2 is made to slide to the other peripheral wall side in the direction of arrow mark after the locking state (positioning fixing for housing and mounting of the primary battery) between the top end located in the other peripheral side of the flat member 2a of the movable terminal member 2 and the projection 4a of an operating lever 4 is released, and by releasing the pushing down operation, the projection 4a of the operating lever 4 is inserted into the locking hole 2b of the flat member 2a.
