<p>An encoding/transmission device is used for transmission of moving picture data from a transmission side to a reception side via a transmission path and performing, at the reception side, streaming of the moving picture data received. The device includes an external output request judgment section (16) for monitoring the state of a network. The external output request judgment section (16) terminates a multiplexing processing of a multiplexing output section (15) when the network state is deteriorated, and resumes the multiplexing processing when the network state has become preferable. A video encoding section (11) and an audio encoding section (12) continue an encoding processing regardless of the operation of the multiplexing output section (15) and terminate the encoding processing when an encoded data occupation amount of a video encoding data storage section (13) and an audio encoding data storage section (14) exceeds a predetermined value, so as to wait until the encoded data occupation amount becomes sufficiently low.</p> |
