PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of photographing thoroughly over the entire time zone wished to record with moving pictures. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises a means 5a for inputting a desired time for photographing moving pictures, and a means 1 for controlling so as to calculate the idle capacity of a memory 4a upon input of a desired photographing time, decide whether or not the moving picture photograph in the desired photographing time is possible from the desired photographing time and the idle capacity, and change and calculate specified photographing conditions, on the basis of a specified calculating system, if impossible, and photograph over the total desired time, on the basis of its photographing conditions.
