A wheelchair with a system of joints for vertical patient positioning by levers, equipped with wheels secured in the carrying frame, a mobile seat with a mobile back rest and a foot rest. It is also equipped with lever system bars joined together by articulated joints to move alternately the foot rest, the seat and the back rest. It is characterised in that it has guiding bars (8) with longitudinal slits, located opposite to each other. In the upper part, the bars are joined by means of bolts (10) to the mobile back rest (11), which they are separable from. Below, they are secured to slit sliders of the vertical posts (6) supporting the horizontal hand rests (7). It has also mobile rods (17) of the foot rest (18). The top ends of the rods are connected through hinges to the mobile seat (1), moving on rollers in guiding slits in the lateral frame, with the back edge connected to the back rest (11). The rods (17) are also connected through the openings (15) to the bars (16), while mobile bars (14) are fixed to the immobile bars (12), which are in turn fixed to the back rest (11). The bottom of the seat (1) is fixed to the opposite top ends of two mobile vertical toothed bars (3). The bars are joined through the gear (4) to the toothed ends of the common horizontal axle. The gear is joined to the electric motor (5), secured to the wheelchair frame. Between the bars (3), there is a downwards-slanting gas spring (2). The mobile bars (A) with braking pads, which enter into contact with back wheel tyres, are slanting forward and secured to the hubs of back wheels (19). |
