PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress generation of noise caused by backlash and transmission of the noise through a steering shaft or the like without largely varying the engagement state of a tooth part of a driven gear and a driving gear. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is a device for driving an electric motor 5 to assist steering and is provided with a worm shaft (driving gear) 61 connected to a rotation shaft 5a of the electric motor 5; a worm wheel (driven gear) 62 engaged with the worm shaft 61; and a support 21 supporting the worm wheel 62 relative to an output shaft (steering shaft) 12 elastically deformably in a radial direction and a rotation direction. The support 21 includes an inner ring 211, an outer ring 212, a connection body such as a rolling body 213 provided between these inner and outer rings 211, 212 and an elastic member 215.
