PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assigning the test number by using a contextual test number factor. SOLUTION: In this method (100) for assigning the test number, present test flow context information 300 is maintained during execution of a test flow 200 (102). When one or a plurality of test number factors are designated to one or a plurality of levels of the present test flow context 300, the base number in the present test number range is determined by using the test number factor (104). In different cases, the base number is set as a default base number.
