PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem in which a method for converting color characters to gray characters in accordance with their saturations has been generally used when monochromatically printing the color characters, however yellow characters, narrow lines or the like converted by the general method have small gray values and sometimes become so thin gray that they cannot be read. SOLUTION: A drawing instruction for monochromatizing data is judged (S42, S43, and S44), and data of drawing instruction having been judged to be monochromatized is converted to a preset gray value (S45), and then drawing processing (S46) is performed.
