摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently manufacturing toner which is superior in dot reproducibility even in continuous printing and has a small particle size and a sharp particle size distribution. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing toner includes a step (I) of melting and kneading a material containing binder resin, wax, a coloring agent by using an open-roll type kneading machine, a step (II) of cooling and pulverizing the kneaded material obtained in the step (I), and a step (III) of classifying the pulverized material obtained in the step (II). In this method, a wax content of the toner is 2 to 15 wt%, the number-average particle size of the wax in the toner is≤1μm, and a volume medium particle size (D<SB>50</SB>) of the obtained toner is 3.5 to 7μm, and standard deviation of a volume particle size distribution is≤1/4 of D-<SB>50</SB>, and a content of particles having≥(1.4×D<SB>50</SB>)μm particle size is≤5 volume%, and a content of particles having≤3μm particle size is≤several 5%.
