<p>A chuck especially adapted for holding castings and forgings having a plurality of jaws mounted on the outer ends of jaw carrier rods inclined to the axis of the chuck. The jaw carrier rods are connected at their inner ends to a drawbar in a manner to permit the carrier rods and the jaws mounted thereon to rotate slightly to compensate for dimensional variations and surface irregularities.</p> |
