Transporter has two basic sets of rollers each set moving at different speed. Each roller consists of a driven shaft over this shaft a number of independent rollers are fitted with little clearance. These rollers are the actual means of transport. If e.g. a container is placed on top of this roller, the weight will cause increased friction between roller and continually driven shaft, which causes the container to be moved. If for any reason the container is blocked, then the friction between roller and shaft is not large enough and roller will freewheel over shaft. Since there are numerous rollers on each shaft, the next container, standing on the same shaft may be forwarded.
