Overhead load transporter - head supporting load slides on upper surface of two parallel rails

A hollow box section (1) has an opening at the bottom. Each side of the opening forms the running rails. Through the opening goes a rod (4) which supports the load. At the top of the rod is a head whose lower face is bevelled such that the edges of the rails contact the lower face at two points. The shaft may be rotated as the rails change direction. The head may have recesses in its lower face for balls which roll over the surfaces of the rails. Changes of direction can occur at 90 deg. without curved tail sections.
