<p>Batch furnace has two or more adjacent furnace chambers, which can be heated to different temps. and a transfer mechanism which can move a batch progressively from one chamber to another. The transfer mechanism may comprise coupled carriages or a reversible conveyor. The rapid heating batch furnace is suitable for treatment of ceramics or chemicals, partic. as a small scale furnace for laboratory simulation of continuous furnace processing. The high rate of temp. rise usually associated only with continuous processing furnaces of considerable size and cost is now obtainable from this new batch furnace which can be scaled down to any desired extent.</p> |
