<p>Tamping head for rail tamping machine which can tamp several adjacent sleepers simultaneously has a support frame adjustable in height. On this frame, at each working level, there are tamping elements, arranged in pairs, parallel to the rail level. These engage into the ballast on the longitudinal sides of a sleeper, can be adjusted against each other and are connected to an eccentric shaft. The tamping head has a first pair of tamping elements lying in each working level parallel to the rails and these engage into the two exterior units of a group of three adjacent sleepers.</p> |
