<p>The bulk liquid container such as a vat or reservoir is formed from prefabricated elements assembled in situ, and its capacity can be readily altered according to requirements. Each element is a single panel whose height corresponds exactly to the desired height of the container, and each element has a support perpendicular to the panel which is capable of resisting the pressure of the contained liquid. Each panel is completely self-supporting. The elements are linked together in any appropriate way so that a completely water-tight joint is formed. Changing the capacity of the container is a relatively simple and inexpensive procedure, it being only necessary to add or remove any number of elements.</p> |
