PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material for a thin plate which is light in weight and excellent in resource saving and mass productivity, can reliably protect a peripheral edge part of a thin component, hardly transmits a load to the component directly when receiving an impact of falling and the like, can prevent deformation and damage to the component, is excellent in reliability and safety in the protection of the component, can maintain a proper fitting force while being easily attached to or detached from the component, is excellent in workability of packing and certainty in fixing, can be carried easily by stacking, is excellent in transportation, does not become bulky during storage, is excellent in space saving, can cope with a straight part and a corner part of the peripheral edge part of the component, and is excellent in versatility.SOLUTION: A cushioning material for a thin plate comprises: a pair of side wall parts formed in a hollow convex shape and disposed face to face; a groove part formed wider than a thickness of a component between the pair of side wall parts; and projections which project from inner walls of the side wall parts respectively toward the groove part, are disposed alternately in a longitudinal direction of the groove part, and hold a peripheral edge part of the component. |
