Sheet detector for copying machines - is fitted with a measuring capacitor inside a detector head forming part of a high frequency generator

The sheet detector is used in machines for printing and copying and it is fitted with a detector head having a slot through which sections of the conveyed paper sheets are guided. Inside the detector head there are the covers of a measuring capacitor located always above and below the slot. The measuring capacitor (C1) forms a part of an LRC link supplied by a high frequency generator (G) which is connected on the outlet side with a rectifying diode (D1). The high frequency generator operates on a frequency in the 30 MHz range. Detection of paper sheets is simple and reliable.
