1450675 Dyeing polyamide fibres BAYER AG 20 May 1975 [31 July 1974] 21521/75 Heading D1B Fibres containing amide groups are dyed with a monoazo dyestuff of the formula: where R is H or C 1-4 alkyl. A preferred dyestuff has the formula above where R is hydrogen and the sulphonic acid group is in the 6 position. Wool and synthetic polyamides are dyed from neutral or slightly acid dyebaths, which may contain other dyeing auxiliaries. The dyestuffs are particularly suitable for the differential dyeing of polyamides of different dyeability.
