Pile tufts comprise a bunch of fibres or filaments consolidated at one end by e.g., a sheath surrounding the binder of fibres. The sheath may be flexible or rigid and may be coated with an adhesive (e.g., thermosetting). The tufts may be implanted into e.g., a foam substrate of a seat e.g., a car seat. A seat may be produced with a pile surface according to requirements. E.g., different coloured tufts may be used to produce an individual pattern. |
