The solar liquid heater utilises the oven, magnification and refraction effects all added together. The convergent effect of the magnifying lens can be arranged to concentrate the rays of the sun directly on the piping, and the rays can also be reflected directly onto the piping. The piping may be unpressurised, and fitted in place without anchoring or welding, so that it expands freely. The design utilises all the rays striking the roof, concentrating them onto a much smaller surface.
