The track-tamping tool unit (3) is provided with tamping tools (5, 6, 7, 8) mounted pivotably on a height-adjustable tamping-tool support (4). Via swivel and vibration drives (13, 14, 15), the tools can be displaced in opposite directions and set in vibration and are intended for plunging with their lower ends into the ballast bed on both sides of a sleeper. Each tamping-tool pair is connected to a device for limiting a maximum and a minimum opening width. This device is designed for fixing at least three or more different opening widths (O, I, II, III) and connected to a remote-controllable three-stage or multi-stage adjusting drive (9). <IMAGE> |
