<p>The film cutter prepares the film end for adhesive splicing in one step. It has spatial blades, one behind the other and operating in sequence in relation to the cutting plane. The blades have appropriate cutting teeth. The blades are contained in a cutter carriage, operating under considerable pressure. The carriage is movable under low pressure, when lifted from the cutting position. Preferably the carriage idle run is actuated by a rocker, with a cooperating leaf spring clamped at one end. Its length, effective for the cutting pressure, is adjustable in dependence on the rocker position due to stroke direction of the cutter carriage.</p> |
