<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a method to easily and firmly fit a nipple-like connecting- fixture to a hose end having a protective cover on the outer periphery of a hose, on the outer surface of which rubber is layered using a metallic socket so as to have the protective cover. CONSTITUTION:The outer rubber layer 2 of a hose end and a protective cover 4 are removed, and using a flare type metallic socket 7 provided with the small, diameter section 8 formed along the outer periphery of an exposed reinforcing layer 3 and the large diameter section 9 formed along the protective cover 4 of the hose from the small diameter section 8 to one end side continuously, a nipple-like connecting-fixture 5 is fitted on one end of the hose with the diameter of the socket 7 reduced by one stage shrinking and the reinforcing layer 3, whose hose end is exposed, and the outer periphery of the protective cover 4 covered in the side of one end of the socket 7 and the other end fitted to the outer peripheral groove 10 of the nipple-like connecting-fixture 5.</p> |
