<p>The system contains a combination of two engine driven inductors which initiate each spark. An engine parameter responsive control device extends each spark under specified engine conditions. The energy stored in each inductor is transmitted to a spark circuit in response to current flow. The control device regulates the starting and interrupting of the current flow alternately in each inductor. The spark initiation is carried out by starting and interrupting of the current flow through one of the inductors. The inductors are pref. formed each by ignition coil primary, whose secondary has one end coupled to a common point in the ignition circuit via a sereis of diodes.</p> |
