PURPOSE:To facilitate discrimination between the musical sounds and the distorsion by separately detecting a relatively light distorsion and such distorsion as is followed by abnormal sounds to deteriorate the musical quality. CONSTITUTION:In case a terminal 18 is supplied with such signals having angles to be modulated as give normally modulated signals, there is no output generated from a synchronous detector 25. When the terminal 18 is supplied with the signals including a relatively light distorsion, the output voltage of the deector 25 is fed to BPFs 27 and 28. The BPF 27 generates vertically symmetrical signals having a high level as the distorsion detecting signals whereas the BPF 28 generates the distorsion detecting signals having a low level. It is possible to accomplish the detection while discriminating the cases, in which the modulated signals are normal, in which the modulated signals have a light distorsion, and in which abnormal sounds are generated in the modulated signals. |
