PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically optimize the recording currents of respective channels by addressing and temporarily storing the respective current levels so that the maximum level may be detected to control the recording currents. CONSTITUTION:The address signals coming from a control unit 1 and having progressively increasing address levels are fed through a memory 2 to an electronically controlled attenuator 4 so that the recording current 3 controlled in accordance with the addresses levels are fed to a control head 5. The resultant signals are consecutively written in a magnetic tape 14, and the recorded signals are consecutively read out by means of a reproducing head 6 so that the recording current to be reproduced is written through a detector 7, an integrator 8 and an A/D converter 9 in a data memory 10 in a manner to correspond to the addresses upon the recording operation. The unit 1 reades out the data of the respective addresses from the memory 10 to write the maximum address in the memory 2 so that the recording currents of the respective channels may be automatically set with that address. |
