PURPOSE:To enhance the protection characteristic of stylus tip as a rest position detector moves a driving device backward to lift the tone arm when the tone arm is manually returned to the arm rest on the way of record playing in a fully automatic player system. CONSTITUTION:When a tone arm 5 is returned to the arm rest 13 position on the way of record playing, the arm rest position is detected with an arm rest detector, then a tone arm driving motor 8 runs backward. This causes the control cam to be run backward to automatically reset the tone arm driving device 25 and move it backward so that the next lead-in operation may be performed. At the same time, a cam 38 for arm lifter also turns to raise a lifter shaft 60 which in turn lifts an arm lifter 12 to lift the tone arm 5. Hence, even if the tone arm is accidentally removed from the arm rest 13, the arm 5 will no longer fall onto the turntable. |
