PURPOSE:To obtain a high-performance and long-life photo electromotive force element by forming the Cu2-xS thin film at the surface part of the CdS sintered film and also forming the Cu2S film on the surface of the thin film each. CONSTITUTION:The CdCl2 is added to the CdS powder as the fusing agent, and then propylene glycol is added as the binding agent to be printed on glass substrate 1. Thus, the sintered CdS film is obtained through sintering process. Then CdCl2 and proplyene glycol are added as the fusing agent and binding agent each to the Cu2 powder to be formed into the slurry state. This slurry is then stuck onto film 2 through the screen printing method or the spraying method or the applying method in the tier form with the heat treatment given. As a result, both Cu2-x thin film 3 and Cu2 film 4 are formed simultaneously on the surface of film 2. When light 9 is radiated on photo electromotive force element thus obtained from the side of substrate 1, the high-performance characteristics is ensured. Furthermore, the Cu ion conduction is caused substantialy even though the photo current may flow through the Cu2S layer, thus obtaining the excellent life-time property. |
