Filter circuit for data transmission system - weights amplitude and equalises phase of signal, quantised to compress data and reduce redundancy

The data transmission system has a first filtering circuit, which weights the amplitude of the signal such that the amplitude distribution over the power density spectrum is roughly even. The phase is equalised such that the effect of an all-pass filter in the equivalent circuit of the signal source is approximately compensated for. The equivalent circuit contains a source (without redundancy reduced by an all-pass), a min. phase filter and an all-pass. The linearly transformed signals are sampled and quantised by a quantiser of given sampling frequency in order to compress the data.
