PURPOSE:To dispense with purity and static convergence electromagnets by magnetizing a non-circular annular magnetic member provided in the neck of the tube. CONSTITUTION:A magnetizable non-circular magnetic member 22 is provided within the wall of a neck 5. When making final adjustment of the color picture tube apparatus, the non-circular annular magnetic member 22 is polarized by magnetization to produced two poles, four poles, six poles, twelve poles, etc, thus imparting with the same function as purity and static convergence electromagnetics. In this way, the leakage field can be made uniform with respect to the central electron beam and also to opposite side electron beams so that sufficient correction can be obtained. |
