Hot gas ventilator cooling system - uses medium vaporising at gas temperature circulating through cooling passages

The system cools surfaces in the path of a current of hot gas, particularly those of a fan or ventilator, and which have passages for coolant flowing in a circuit. The coolant can be a medium vaporising at the temp. of the hot gas, e.g. water. A turbine and a centrifugal pump can be mounted on the fan shaft, the steam generated being delivered to the turbine and passed to a condenser, the condensate being delivered to the water tank of the pump.
