Cement mortar or concreate lining on steel pipe is cured by treating with steam, saturating with water while dipping into hot water, and coating with sealcoat. Thus steel pipe is coated centrifugally with a cement mortar contg. 1 part of flyash cement, 2 parts of sand and 0.4 parts of water, and treated with steam at 34-38≦̸C for 5 hours, and 20 hours later dipped in hot water at 95≦̸C for 10 min. The resulting lining has high bending strength and compressive strength.
