PURPOSE:To make the rotor of a flat motor lighter and the preparation of the rotor ready by preparing a plurality of elliptical coils with inclined sides, and arranging them around the perimeter of a bushing, with their sides contacted with each other, before thermally pressing them in order to form into a unitary structure. CONSTITUTION:A coil 11, which has inclined sides 11a and 11b and the upper and lower ends laterally deviated from each other by an angle of theta with respect to the rotor shaft, is prepared by laterally applying force (F) on an elliptically wound self-weldable conductor, or winding a self-weldable conductor around a bobbin previously formed into an inclined shape. Three pieces of such coil 11, for example, are arranged around the perimeter of a bushing 13 having a commutator 14, with their sides contacted with each other. Then the coils 11 are thermally pressed in order to form into a unitary structure. Thus, adhesives are eliminated when the coils 11 are made unitary, so that the rotor can be made lighter, and the manufacturing process thereof can be facilitated. |
