Receiving antenna system for a projectile. The system combines the reception gain pattern of an antenna exhibiting a null at the projectile axis, with the reception gain pattern of an antenna exhibiting a maximum at the projectile axis. The two patterns are separately detected (28, 30), and the detected outputs are combined in scalar fashion. The composite detected pattern provides substantially omnidirectional coverage to the rear of the projectile. |
