The arrangement is intended for stepwise vertical adjustment of the upper guide bracket (12) of a car safety belt along a vertical hollow door post (1). It comprises an anchoring plate (4) which is fixed (3) to the bost and provided with a vertical slot with a number of pairs of lateral recesses (22,24) capable of receiving spring spring-loaded (15) teeth of a latch element (15). The element can be released by outward pressure (on 20) and, after height adjustment of a member (8) sliding behind the plate (4), automatically latches in another pair of recesses (22,24). The bracket (12) is fixed (11,14) to the member (8) and the element (15) is a bent wire spring which holds the member (8) in position.
