Sorting machine for loose leaves of paper - removes old pages from and adds new pages to law and science reports in library

The sorting machine has two readers recognising pages and coupled to a microprocessor that controls a transport device. An old page is either found and removed or inserted into a new stack or the transport of an old page is stopped so that a new oage or several new pages can be inserted. This process can be repeated until all new pages have been added to a stack and all old pages have been added to a stack of their own. The correct sequence of pages in any stack is preserved.
