PURPOSE:To secure the coupling between a drive cord and outer tube by coupling the coupler of the drive cord with the driving drum of an expanding-contracting mechanism and also by linking the end of the outer cylinder of the outer tube to the fixed member of the expanding-contracting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:While drive cord 9 is contained in outer tube 12, antenna body 5 is inserted from the outside of a car body and outer cylinder 11 constituting the housing part of antenna element assembly 8 is fixed to the car body. Then, drive cord 9 is projected from outer tube 12, coupler 15 provided to this cord 9 is coupled with driving drum 17 of expanding-contracting mechanism 10, and drive cord 9 is coupled with this drum 17. Further, outer tube 12 is enabled to move in the lengthwise direction toward outer cylinder 11 and outer tube 12 is coupled with fixed member 19 of expanding-contracting mechanism 10. Thus, the operation of the coupling between element assembly 8 and driving drum 17 by drive cord 9 is facilitated and secured. |
