PURPOSE:To reduce the types of transmission code for processor, by performing the parity bit of transmission character and conversion control of the most significant bit at communication control unit. CONSTITUTION:The processor 1 has the code conversion processing section for the internal code and the transmission character and transfers it to the transmission register 21. The communication control unit 2 stores the parity bit of the terminal device 5 received from the processor 1 in advance and the most significant bit information to the register 20 and control is made based on the content. If the information in the register 20 designates an even number, it is set to the character transmission buffer 20 in the register 21 and transmitted to the line, and if an odd number, it is taken with the exclusive logical sum with the parity bit of the register 21, the parity bit is inverted and it is set to the transmission buffer 22 and transmitted to the line. |
