<p>The heat exchanger (2), e.g. for hot water heating, has self-operating sensor responding to variations in operation indicating overheating, to deflect the heated medium pully or partially to a bypass line (14). This is effected by deflection vanes coupled to the sensors so that they are moved automatically without any external energy supply. Pref. the bypass line (14) communicates with the flow line for the heated medium before and after a widened section (1) housing the heat exchanger (2). The inlet to the bypass line is normally blocked by a vane (33) pivoted at one edge and the flow line has two blocking vanes (31,32) before and after the widened section (1) each pivoted at the centre. The operation of all the vanes is linked to block the main flow as the bypass line (14) is opened.</p> |
