PURPOSE:To perform a transaction with a transaction device of one bank by using a cash card of another bank while eliminating the need for a special coordination center, by discriminating rapidly whether the transaction is to be done by an encoded proof thing issued by one of banks participating in an inter-bank transaction system. CONSTITUTION:The 1st cash transaction system by the bank consists of CPU101 and automatic cash dispenser-depositor ATMs 104-106 and similarly, the 2nd and 3rd cash transaction systems by the banks consist of CPUs 102 and 103, and ATMs 107-109 and 110-112. Then, respective CPUs 101-103 are connected together. The 1st system is composed of ATMs 104-106 and a central file device and provided with the function of discriminating a specific code entered in a magnetic card as an encoded proof thing that one of banks participating in the 2nd and 3rd systems has issued shows a prescribed value. Then, information in the file of the bank number of the 2nd or 3rd bank is compared with that on the card and a transaction is carried out with a card issued by a different bank. |
