PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown and the shortcircuit of the circuit on an image pickup element by trimming the edge of a color filter. CONSTITUTION:The edge of a color filmter 11 is trimmed so that the sharp edge may not damage the surface of a solid state image pickup element 3. Even if the color filter 11 and the element 3 are slightly moved horizontally at an alignment process, this configuration can eliminate the damage of the surface of the element 3. The trimming amount may be enough to be more than 0.3mm., and it is also effective by rounding the corner. |
