The machine i.e. steam turbine, has a flow area through which a flow medium flows. A rotor including shaft sections (3) with rotor bearing points circulates in the flow area. The rotor is supported in magnetic bearings (5, 6), where each bearing exhibits a set of electromagnets. The electromagnets consist of a winding (15), a winding core (16) and a pole (17). The magnetic bearings are arranged within the flow area. The winding of each electromagnet of the magnetic bearings is hermetically accommodated in a housing (18) by the flow medium. |
