<p>PURPOSE:To make the playback speed of an unrecorded area faster than that of a recorded area on the basis of detection outputs of a detecting means for an area on a magnetic tape where a video signal is not recorded and of another detecting means for an unrecorded area of a control signal track, by permitting the latter means to follow up the former means. CONSTITUTION:The output of an envelope signal detector 13 supplied with an FM video signal from a video head 3 and the output of a control signal detector 17 supplied with the said signal are both inputted to an NAND gate 14, whose output is supplied to the terminal of a forward speed search switch 18f and a sequence control circuit 19. When the video head 3 is in an unrecorded zone of a tape, an envelope level drops and its output rises to a high level; when a tape runs until the unrecorded zone comes to a sound control head 4, the detector 17 detects that to generate a high-level outputs, and the NAND gate 14 generates a low-level output. Then, a forward speed switch turns on to set a speed research mode, thereby increasing a run speed automatically.</p> |
