In a method for manufacturing foldable decorative covering panels composed of individual elements, in which the individual elements are formed by cutting open a base panel provided with a decorative layer on its front and are held together by a continuous, flexible layer attached to its rear and allowing mutual angling-off of the individual elements, grooves being formed between the individual elements, which grooves consists of two oblique faces lying at an angle relative to one another, the vertex of the angle lying in the region of the flexible layer, the intention is to make it possible to manufacture precisely constructed foldable covering panels quickly and inexpensively. For this purpose, provision is made according to the invention for the uncut base panel to be provided with the flexible layer after applying the decorative layer to its rear, for a foil, which can be cut by rotating tools, to be subsequently applied to the outer face of the decorative layer, for the angular grooves to be subsequently made from the front of the whole arrangement by means of rotating tools to such a depth in the base panel that the latter is severed without damaging the flexible layer, and for the individual foil strips thus formed to be finally pulled off. |
